VIP Natures Goodness Grain Free Pet Food
I was familiar with VIP Pet Foods from their fresh, chilled pet foods. They have established themselves as a market leader of fresh pet food in Australia. So it makes sense that they take on the dry kibble market as well.

My dog was recently suffering from a recurring rash and an upset stomach, so my Veterinarian suggested that I move my dog onto a grain free diet to see if a grain sensitivity was causing the problems. I was surprised to see that VIP Pet Foods offered a grain-free alternative in my local supermarket, as opposed to having to go to a specialty pet store for the food.
In my case convenience was in order, so I decided to try the Wild Game with Sweet Potato variety. Having meat as the first ingredient is always a positive, and I also liked that all of the other ingredients were natural as well.

According to the VIP Pet Foods website:
Natures Goodness grainfree provides your dog with a holistic balanced formulation, is free from grains and fillers, high in protein, has no artificial (flavours, colours or preservatives), and is made from a real meat recipe that is naturally good for your dog.
Natures goodness grainfree is the only non grain dry dog food product on the supermarket shelf.
I was pleased with how the kibbles looked. They were dense and moist, unlike many of the other dry dog foods available in the supermarket.

And I am pleased to say the food also passed the taste test. Although with a cocker spaniel X labrador, my dog does not have an overly discerning palate. I am also pleased to report that her skin condition has improved. I am not convinced that it was a grain allergy, but my Vet advised me dogs don't require grain as part of their diet so I don't see the point in paying for inferior food that is full of fillers.
My dog enjoys the food and I like that the product is locally made in Australia.
The dry kibble is available in 1.25 and 3kg bags and also comes in a Chicken with Duck and Garden Vegetables variety. Chilled, fresh rolls are also available in the grainfree range.
