Keeping Your Dog Cool with Pupcicles

Posted 2014-03-16 by Gwen O'Toole-Luscombefollow
If you're looking for a cheap way to treat your dog on a hot summer day try this.

Frozen pupcicles. Dogs go crazy for them.

Particularly in Australia, the heat can soar, which can be really tough and sometimes dangerous for your pets. Here's a great way to keep them cool.

My dog loves these as a treat all year round.

Take chicken or beef stock and dissolve it into water (depending on how much you want to make) then fill up your ice cube trays. As a special treat you can chop up liver treats or stick in a biscuit.

Once they are frozen, they're ready to go.

I've stuck these into a water bowl on a hot day to let them dissolve, but they never last that long as my dog immediately goes for them.
