Some of the most memorable TV or sitcom characters are pets, like the lovable "Eddie" from the hit TV show Frasier.

A Jack Russell Terrier, the same breed as Moose who played Eddie Crane on Frasier

Eddie, played by a Jack Russell Terrier named Moose, was such an important character on the show and quite a scene stealer.

And there are so many great movies about pets, like Marley and Me and Milo and Otis. And even the sinister "Church" the cat from the classic Stephen King novel and movie Pet Sematary is a memorable character.

When I was 7, I loved Mr. Ed..."a horse is a horse, of course, of course, unless the horse is Mr. Ed" the talking horse. Of course,only his owner Wilbur and the viewing audience could see him talk. Something about a horse knowing how to talk and playing such a joke on everyone was very funny to me.

My favourite has always been Shadow from Homeward bound. His storyline was heartwrenching and he always looked like a soft, cuddly, gentle giant!
Marley, from Marley & Me. Not only a beautiful dog (well, quite a few dogs, actually played Marley,) but a beautiful portrayal of how a dog becomes a beloved member of the family.
