There are so many options nowadays when it comes to your pets dental health.

Some of the options include:
Regular dental check ups at the vets,
Using kibble type food instead of wet food,
Special chew toys,
Using foods specifically aimed at dental health,
Using a toothbrush and specially formulated toothpaste for pets, believe it or not!
And if needs be, a dental de-scale and polish.

So how do you look after your pets dental health?

The only time one of our pets had problems with her teeth, is when it became overgrown, and out of place. She had to be put under anesthetive it, but sadly could not take the anesthetic and died a few hours later. Very upsetting.
Regular dental check ups!
My dog only has dry kibble with occasional left-overs, and home-made treats, and every now and then a rawhide chew. While the vet can't tell exactly how old she is (somewhere between 10 and 14) her teeth are in excellent condition.
-Chicken necks, brisket and lamb neck bones weekly
-Kibble and homemade food
-Annual teeth check
-They have had 1 scale and polish under anesthetic
