We have two cats and they always get presents. They get a treat of special cat tinned food. Other times they get cat biscuits only.
No; since they don't know what Christmas is, I don't give my guinea pigs presents. The only thing they would appreciate is food anyway, and I give them regular treats already.
Our pets have always received a small present at Christmas. They are a part of the family and it's more about our joy in giving it than their joy in receiving it. One year I gave the dog a new chew toy, the cat a little tin of gourmet food (a rare treat,) and the turtle a cleansing block for his aquarium. The grandchildren got to unwrap them on the pet's behalf and had a lot of fun doing it.
Our birds get a toy at Christmas and we try and give them a lot of love and attention in the morning before we go out and in the evening once we return so that they don't feel neglected.
